Algester Primary School
Calamvale Community College
Runcorn Heights State School
Runcorn State High School
Stretton State College

The Karawatha based district chaplaincies represented and the associated LCC (Local Chaplaincy Committee) was formed out of the original Runcorn State High chaplaincy and LCC with a focus to combine the existing local chaplaincies, and prospective new chaplaincies, into a single combined entity.

Through the Karawatha District School Chaplaincy the individual chaplains in each of the respective schools is provided with an immediate network of fellow chaplains to work with and a single LCC to assist with providing support for the chaplaincies.

What is the LCC and what is its role?

The LCC (Local Chaplaincy Committee) is a group of individuals who have expressed a desire to assist and support the chaplains, and Scripture Union, to achieve their goals in caring for the students of the schools. The LCC meets regularly (at least once per month) to discuss current issues the chaplaincies may be facing with regards to finding financial support, fund raising, budgeting and any general assistance with the running of chaplaincies. The underlying purpose of the LCC is to help free up the chaplains to purely focus on the ministry of caring and supporting the students in their respective schools.
